A personal journey from broken promises to consistent achievement.
I've written goals for myself for years. The usual stuff like "I want to earn X by the time I am Y" or maybe "I want to get down to X kg by the time I am Y years old."
I would then break the goal down into a strategy that I would use to achieve my goal. Then I would break the strategy down into tacticsβthe stuff I would need to do every day to eventually achieve my goal.
You've probably done the same. Maybe for you it was New Year's Resolutions or promises you made to yourself on your birthday. Especially on those big scary birthdays that end in a 0...
For the first few days, I would keep my promise to myself. I would do what I said I would.
But then other stuff happens. I was too busy or I forgot one day.
Standard stuff. I read all the books on self-improvement and habit forming. Excellent work but...
There had to be a better way.
So I created MyChalls (short for My Challenges, but I imagine you guessed that already).
Am I perfect now? No. But I am a lot better than I was at keeping the promises I made to myself.
Personally, I find the daily reminder, the encouragement, and the nice-looking graphs that show me how I'm doing really help.
I suggest you try the free plan and see what you think. You have nothing to lose and maybe a lot to gain. For one thing, the questions you answer when setting up a new challenge really make you think about the critical factors to achieving any goal.
"Without a strong reason for doing something, you will not do it. Other stuff gets in the way."
The little questionnaire makes you dig deep and think Why you want what you want. Knowing that is a massive boost. Without it, other stuff gets in the way and derails your progress.
Never forget to log your progress with automated email reminders
Beautiful graphs and stats show you exactly how you're doing
Deep questions that keep you focused on what really matters
Positive feedback that celebrates your wins and keeps you motivated
Ultimately, try it, have fun, and feel great about yourself when you finally achieve that goal you've been dreaming about for years.
